SOCIAL SKILLS II is for youth who have completed Social Skills Part 1 Only
10-13 years of age: Tuesdays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm in Paramus
14-17 years of age: Mondays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in Fair Lawn

In addition to our outpatient services, CarePlus offers a variety of group therapy - support groups and therapeutic group sessions - that enhance the mental and physical well-being of children, teens, and parents who are struggling with social, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Consider it a safe, stigma-free place to go to heal mind and body...and just feel better...together.
SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM is for children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 that uses a curriculum that helps youth develop the skills needed to strengthen relationships and improve communication with others. A recommended bi-weekly Parent Support Group runs simultaneously with the children's program.

MUSIC THERAPY uses the natural elements embedded in music-making to target the needs of children with behavioral, social, or developmental challenges in a non-threatening, engaging and fun way. Throughout the group sessions, children will partake in goal-oriented and evidence-based music experiences.

FREEDOM FROM ANXIETY is designed to increase youth's ability to recognize signs of anxiety and strengthen their coping skills. Group members will learn skills to identify triggers along with managing the thoughts that impact mood and anxiety. The group setting also helps to promote healthy social relationships.10-13 years of age: Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 6:30 pm in Paramus

ON THE MEND is a therapeutic group for children that uses the evidence-based Children of Divorce Intervention Program (CODIP) model. Children are provided with support and taught age-appropriate coping skills and techniques to assist with the difficulties experienced by parental divorce and separation. This program is offered for various age groups throughout the year. Most insurance is accepted.
PARENTING WITH COMMON SENSE is a parenting education group featuring the evidence-based Common Sense Parenting® model. Throughout the group sessions, parents will learn practical and effective ways to discipline their children, increase positive behaviors, decrease negative behaviors, and teach age-appropriate skills.

TOOLBOX FOR WELLNESS provides a safe place for adolescents age 13 through 17 who are experiencing symptoms of depression to practice the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model (CBT). This model helps identify how thoughts and actions can be self-defeating, and provides a path to learn how to replace poor coping skills with positive action.
